Natural beauty abounds in Graubünden, and you will come across plenty of lovely spots and stunning highlights. One of these is a hike to the Tamina Gorge.
Over thousands of years, the Tamina mountain stream has eroded away the rock to carve out a gorge that belongs to Switzerland’s most impressive and spectacular. The Tamina Gorge is famed for its thermal springs with water that is 36.6 degrees Celsius. The curative properties of the springs at Bad Pfäfers were discovered as far back as the Middle Ages. The spa facilities that were originally erected were destroyed by fire and rock fall and subsequently rebuilt. Remnants of these buildings have survived. You will cross one of Switzerland’s longest arched pedestrian bridges before the hike ends at the spa resort of Bad Ragaz.
