On a total of 12 stages, it connects the pass village of Maloja in the Upper Engadine with Vinadi in the Lower Engadine, on the border with Tyrol. The route sections run partly through alpine terrain, then again along the River Inn. Take the opportunity to complete one of the stages of this classic high-altitude trail.

Another hotel in Silvaplana that we can recommend for celebrations and various occasions is the Hotel Bellavista. In addition to the fantastic location and panoramic views, guests appreciate the family atmosphere.
St. Moritz
St. Moritz is undoubtedly the most famous resort in the Engadin. As a glamorous vacation resort, it attracts numerous guests from all over the world every year. For MICE events, St. Moritz offers an exclusive infrastructure of hotels in the solid three-star and upscale luxury segments. St. Moritz combines tradition and modernity in a unique way that is difficult to describe. You have to experience St. Moritz for yourself. Then bobsleighing on the world’s only natural ice rink is just the right supporting program – adrenaline rush included.
In Celerina, not only the finish line of the legendary bobsleigh run awaits you, but also a historic village center. We recommend the Cresta Palace Hotel or the Chesa Rosatsch as a home base for your team outing.

Pontresina is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Bernina massif and is known for its tranquillity and proximity to nature. The location is particularly suitable for smaller, focused events in an inspiring environment. Pontresina offers direct access to alpine adventures and is a paradise for nature and mountain lovers.

The light-flooded seminar rooms in the Pontresina Congress and Culture Center opposite offer space for up to 450 people. They are equipped with the latest technology and all have something in common: the wonderful view of the glacier and mountains.
Our tip: A hike or bike tour to the Morteratsch Glacier. By bike, we recommend starting in Pontresina, then continuing through the Morteratsch campsite to the cheese dairy and the Morteratsch train station. Hikers can also start their tour from there.
Between Pontresina and Samedan we recommend a special hotel, which is also an excursion destination. The Romantic Hotel Muottas Muragl is enthroned on one of the most impressive vantage points in the Engadine, right next to the mountain station of the historic funicular railroad dating from 1907. Let yourself be enchanted by the majestic landscape, the unique light and the spectacular view of the Upper Engadine lakes and the Bernina massif – just like the painter Giovanni Segantini and the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche once did. At an altitude of 2,456 meters, you can enjoy the luxury of indulging all your senses while cultivating a sense of conscious idleness. Treat yourself to a break, take a deep breath and find your inner peace.
Samedan
Samedan is a charming Alpine village and the lively capital of the Upper Engadine. The village is not only the hub of the Rhaetian Railway, but also home to the small yet international airport. The Hotel Bernina 1865 is located just 200 meters from the train station. Breakfast begins in the historic Kaisersaal before you start your day of adventure in the Upper Engadine.
Bever
The journey continues to Bever, to the Bever Lodge, the ideal starting point for outdoor activities. Yoga, cross-country skiing, biking or wellness. If you want to treat your body to exercise and relaxation, this is the place for you. At the same time, Val Bever is a retreat in the middle of Engadin nature. If you’re still looking for hustle and bustle, chic and champagne, you can be in St. Moritz in just a few minutes.
La-Punt Chamues-ch
The proud mountain village of La-Punt Chamues-ch at the foot of the Albula Pass and former trading center along the Albula line is known for its historic houses with Engadine sgraffiti. Are you looking for a meeting room or workplace? At InnHub La Punt you will find a co-working space with a meeting room and group room. The InnHub PopUp is the “small” harbinger of what will be created by 2028 – an innovation center with office space, a health center, small stores, a café, work and workshop rooms, a sports center, apartments and large co-working spaces. The combination of work and relaxation begins at the new InnHub La Punt. For overnight accommodation, we recommend the Hotel KRONE Säumerei am Inn with 18 rooms.
Madulain
If you continue along the cantonal road, you will pass the small village of Madulain on your left.
Our winter tip: Probably the most beautiful ice path starts from Madulain. Skate along the 2.5 km long path through the picturesque winter landscape to Zuoz.
Zuoz
With its historic village center, Zuoz is one of the most beautiful villages in the Upper Engadine. Cultural events alternate with sporting events, numerous galleries present artistic creations and the proud patrician houses characterize the townscape.
In the magnificent Hotel Castell you will find the perfect setting for seminars, meetings and workshops. For banquets and celebrations, the largest hall has capacity for up to 130 people. However, smaller events for between 10 and 40 people are also possible in the various rooms. Your event will end in the sensual Red Bar.
S-chanf
Hardly any other village borders on as many different regions as S-chanf. At the Scalettapass it lies on the border with Davos, at the Sertigpass it connects to Bergün. In the valley, S-chanf is bordered by Zuoz and Zernez, while at the Chaschaunapass, the crossing to Livigno, it even extends as far as Italy. It’s worth exploring the municipal boundaries and getting to know the charming village with its 700 or so inhabitants. And if you are unsure how to pronounce the village name correctly – just ask someone on site. With a little practice, pronunciation will soon be easy.
A view into the Lower Engadine to Zernez
Zernez is already part of the Lower Engadine and serves as a crossroads for important Alpine transport routes. Thanks to its location at the entrance to the Val Müstair and at the foot of the Ofen Pass, the village offers access to neighboring regions such as the Münstertal and Livigno in Italy. Zernez is also the ideal starting point for exploring the Swiss National Park, as it lies right on its border. The proximity to famous places such as St. Moritz and Davos as well as the good public transport connections make Zernez a central and easily accessible starting point for nature and culture enthusiasts alike.
For accommodation in Zernez, we recommend one of the leading 3-star hotels in Switzerland, the Crusch Alba, which has been continuously renovated and modernized with passion since the village fire of 1872, always with the aim of preserving the tried and tested. The Hotel Baer & Post, a traditional hotel with a moving history, is also worth a mention. Once a post office and the only hotel in Zernez, today a family business with an organic farm and NaturSPA.
